We believe that the future of print is best summarised in terms of the level of skill and ideas entering the industry.
Unfortunately only a few hundred apprentices per year enter the print sector which employs over 120,000 people. This results in the de-skilling of the industry when the skill and experience in the industry is leaving the sector due to retirement, redundancies or other reasons – at a faster pace.
As an example we have an ambitious plan to employee many apprentices, interns and young people to teach them our best practice and give them an opportunity.
